New Aircraft Delivered
New Aircraft Delivered by manufacturers for the past year has decreased by 34.5% when comparing the first three quarters from 2008 to 2009. While the deliveries of new aircraft are on the decline, the available aircraft for paid charters seems to be on the rise. Many aircraft owners that kept their aircraft on Part 91 certificates for owner charters have opted to move these aircraft to Part 135 certificates in an effort to offset their costs with charter revenue. With the decrease in demand for flights from 2008 to 2009 and an increase in aircraft available for revenue flights, it will be more difficult for large fleet operators to carry the costs associated with having the planes sitting in hangars. http://www.artemisair.com/aircraft_charter.php
